About StudentToken
StudentToken (STK) is a custom ERC-20 token created as part of a blockchain and cryptocurrency course project. It demonstrates how to build, deploy, and interact with a real smart contract on the Ethereum Sepolia testnet.
The contract is built with OpenZeppelin v5 — the industry-standard library for secure smart contracts — and deployed using Hardhat 3. The fixed initial supply of 1,000,000 STK is minted entirely to the deployer on construction.
This project covers end-to-end Web3 development: Solidity smart contracts, Hardhat tooling, Alchemy RPC infrastructure, MetaMask wallet integration, and a pure-HTML/CSS/JS frontend hosted on Cloudflare Pages.
Built on OpenZeppelin's audited ERC-20 implementation.
Deployed on Sepolia testnet — instant confirmations, zero cost.
Fully transparent — every transfer is verifiable on Etherscan.
How to Import STK into MetaMask
- Open MetaMask and switch to the Sepolia network.
- Scroll down and click Import tokens.
- Paste the contract address shown above — MetaMask auto-fills symbol and decimals.
- Click Add custom token, then Import tokens. Done!
